Classic Guitar Song, Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.

Published by epistimon at 6:18 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Wish You Were Here by the band Pink Floyd comes from their 1975 album of the same name.  It’s actually their 7th studio album so although it seems early in their career, they were already an established band.  It’s an easy guitar song using only the chords G, C, D, Am and Em.  These are the basic chords most guitarist know even beginning guitar players.

C D
So, so you think you can tell,
             Am G
Heaven from Hell, blue skys from pain.
                      D C Am
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail, a smile from a veil,

Do you think you can tell?
